Why bathrooms
Contemporary Flooring & Bath started as a flooring company, and it still is one: our floors business keeps running at ccflooringfl.com. Bathrooms became the part of the work we liked most. They are small rooms where everything has to be right, where three trades usually point fingers at each other, and where the difference between a careful crew and a fast one shows up in the second year.
How we work
Renato Lessa answers the phone, does the in-home visit with full-size samples, and is on site through the job. The crews are fixed, not day labor. A bathroom is never more than two people who have worked together for years, and the same two people take it from demolition to the glass door.
What we will not skip
Cement board in every wet area, a liquid membrane on every wall, bench and pan, a flood test before tile, leveling clips on every large-format piece. We photograph each step and show you before the walls close.

Demo to the studs
Old tile, board and pan out. Hidden leaks and rot show up here, and get fixed here.
Cement board
Never drywall in a wet area. Screwed, taped and mudded before anything else.
Waterproofing
Liquid membrane on every wall, the pan, the bench and the niche. Two coats, flood tested.
Leveled tile
Leveling clips on every large-format piece, so the wall reads as one surface.
A cheap bathroom quote skips the board, the membrane and the leveling. It looks the same on day one. It doesn't in year three.
